Emmett for president
We had the President’s Prize to the Seniors competition last Thursday, 26th August with a huge turnout in perfect weather. Thank you to the Club President, Phil McWeeney, for putting up a fine selection of prizes on the day. Gerry Emmett was first with 41 points, just pipping Albert Hogg in second with 40 points and Paschal McGuire in third, on a countback, also with 40 points. Sean Martin was fourth with 39 points. Cat. 1 – PJ Sharkey (39 points); Cat. 2 – Michael Delorey (39 points); Cat. 3 – Gerry Fitzgerald (36 points). Paddy Duffy took the first nine with 23 points and Seamus Sweeney took the second nine with 20 points. Congratulations also to our member, John Moffatt, who won the prize for Past Presidents at the weekend with a fine score of 40 points – well done John.
