Latest news from Seniors, December 3rd, 2020
Back on the course on Thursday, 3rd December, after the long lockdown. The morning was dull and wet and the weather did not look promising but it cleared up nicely. However, the air was cold and the ground heavy so the ball was not travelling far but this did not hamper John Moffatt who played a tidy round of golf to take first prize with an excellent score of 41 points. The category prize winners were Paschal McGuire (Cat. 1) with 37 points; Michael Delorey (Cat. 2) with 35 points; Owen Caulfield (Cat. 3) with 30 points. Ken Moran took the prize for the front nine with 20 points and Tommie Kenoy took the prize for the second nine with 20 points. Well done to the Greenkeepers for having the course in such good condition after the very poor spell of weather. Francie Foley was especially pleased with the manner in which Declan was maintaining the bunkers.
