Thursday, 19th March and at last there was good weather. The tee times for the day were expertly organised by Chris Lowe and notified the night before so as to minimise social interaction and maintain the appropriate social distance. Captain Albert Hogg welcomed the new members who were joining the society and also remarked on the very rare appearance of the Barber (Mondays usually) on a Thursday. Scoring was good and there were three scores of 39 returned of which two members faltered on the last few holes with their putting under pressure leaving a clear winner on countback. Paddy Duffy was first; Chris Lowe was second and PJ Sharkey was third. The front nine was won by John Moffatt (20) and the back nine by Michael Comerton (18). Now that the season is, hopefully, getting in to full swing new members are especially welcome – please contact Albert or Chris.
