Captain’s Prize to the Seniors
Last Thursday, 1st August turned out to be a beautiful Summer’s day and the course was in excellent condition with everything conducive to good scoring. There was a large turnout of golfers and the Men’s Captain, David McDermott, was present to welcome everyone competing for the Captain’s Prize to the Seniors. The scoring was reflective of the conditions and Leo Kavanagh won with a great score of 44 points; John Burke from Knockvicar was second with 42 points and Tom Martin was third with 40 points. The winner of the Front Nine was Reggie Carroll with 23 points and we wish Reggie the best of luck on his trip to Sweden with the Irish Team. Dermot McNamara took the Back Nine with 21 points. Our next away outing is to Slieve Russell on Monday 11th August at the usual tee time of 11 o’clock.
