Report and results from 22nd November, 2018
We had a lovely, sunny day on Thursday 22nd last with a bit of a biting East wind. The course is in excellent shape and great credit is due to the grounds staff for the tremendous work that they are doing. We played the old nine twice as there were ongoing drainage works being carried out on the 14th fairway. This arrangement did not suit some of the members due to handicap issues and there were some rumblings of discontent to which Chop Chop turned a deaf ear. Kieran Greene took first prize on the day with an excellent score of 40 points well ahead of second and third who were both on 36 points and separated by a countback. Seamus Sweeney was second and Leo Kavanagh managed to put two nines together to be in third place. JP Carney took the prize for the first nine (19 points) and Paddy Duffy took the prize for the second nine.
