3rd Year 41 Points Wins Murphy Cup
For the third year in a row The Murphy Cup in aid of Northwest Hospice and in memory of Damien Murphy has been won with 41 points and as in 2015 three 41 points contested the top three places. This year Tom Daly took top spot with the best 41 beating Seamus Sweeney on the count back which went down to best score on last hole, Keith Hogg had his first podium finish taking 3rd place, oh but for the driver on the 14th ! David McDermott won the Gross with 34 points (2 over) Barry Crowe with 40 points was 4th Michael Keville with 39 B9 was 5th Mark McDermott also on 39 was 6th & Tommy Flynn’s 38 was 7th. In the Ladies Dolores Mulvey had the best score of the weekend with 42 points to claim top spot, Attracta O’Connor was second with 35 & Vera Waters from Blacklion was third Phil Emmett won the gross and the minor places went to Mary King, Teresa Kenoy & Geraldine Prendiville. Another very successful Murphy Cup with over €1300 raised for Northwest Hospice, thank you to Owen Gibney who sponsored the prizes.
