Duffy’s 62 Claims PJ’s President Prize
Paddy Duffy claimed his third major when he lifted his second President’s Prize, (he won his first in 1995 when Paddy Keely’s was President,) on Sunday last August 19th. President PJ Sharkey put together a wonderful display of prizes which was matched with the exceptional scoring especially from Paddy Duffy (20) with 62 to win by 2 from Keith Duignan (14), Sean Bohan (7) shot the low gross of the day with 72, Niall Sweeney (12) claimed 3rd spot with 65. The Categories went to Cat 3 Reggie Carroll (16) 66 and Cat 4 Leo Kavanagh (24) 70. The 9’s went to Brian Oates for Front 9 with 31.5 and Back 9 Brendan Kiernan Strokestown 31.0
Sean Bohan recorded the lowest gross of the President’s Prize 72, to win the Gross Prize . . . . oh but for the 15th !!!

Reggie Carroll won Cat 3 with 66, incidentally Reggie recently completed a marathon of golf when he played Carrick 4 times in one day on Friday August 3rd last. He would like to thank all the Members who so generously sponsored him for the challenge. For the record he walked the four rounds, starting at 5.30am & finishing at 4.30pm that afternoon.

Know wonder Ken Moran is laughing, he won the President’s Prize to “The Thursday Seniors” with a massive score of 47 points, equivalent to a nett 58
